Coaches
The volunteer coaches who keep the kids pedaling
Our coaching staff is made up of 25 dedicated volunteers — parents, racers, and industry professionals — who give their time to help student-athletes grow on and off the bike. All coaches complete background checks and are certified in First Aid, Concussion awareness, MTB Skills 101, Risk Management, and Student-Athlete Coaching Philosophy.
Head Coaches
Samantha Griffin — Coronado
Samantha is a mom to an athlete on the team. When she started coaching, there were few women coaches on the team. She wanted to be a good role model for young women who like to ride bikes! She loves spending time with the kids and riding on the many amazing trails Colorado Springs offers.
Jeremy Senn — Manitou
Jeremy is a Senior Test Engineer at SRAM/RockShox and an expert in XC suspension. He is a top-10 National finisher in the Single-Speed Category, and serves as both head coach and board member for the Manitou program.
John Harris — Manitou
John is a native and resident of Manitou Springs. He began coaching with the Manitou Monsters upon its founding in 2016. He works as a Team Leader for mountain bike suspension New Product Development at RockShox/SRAM.
